Aqua Mail for Android is a free application which is a joint development between AquaMail and Google Android. This free software is similar to the existing free email service called Android Mail (AQ). The main difference is that the software can be used to access Gmail, Yahoo or other Google services instead of having to use your own email server. In addition, the Android Market has several apps that you can download and use on your phone. However, you will not receive any notification from Google about the new email address you have accessed as it is only displayed in your Android mail app.
Aqua Mail for Android is compatible with almost all Android phones manufactured by Samsung, HTC, LG, Motorola, Sony Ericsson and other related companies. You do not need to pay any fee to download this application as it is completely free of cost. To download the free version, you can either download it directly from the Android Market or use one of the various p2p networks such as BitDefender or ParetoLogic. You will need to provide your Google account information so that the application can connect to it and check your email. This is to prevent the identity theft that usually accompanies unsolicited emails.
Aqua Mail offers several free features which include the ability to: create accounts, create emails, copy text and enter attachments, delete mail and search for email addresses. Other features available are an alarm that reminds you when you have unread messages in your inbox, ability to organize your emails and a desktop widget with the latest emails. As with any free application, there is always a free version available to test before buying the full version. It is also possible to join a beta group and download the application for free.
